10.00    Children’s snowmobile school
Who says that enjoying the thrill of speed and the rumbling of an engine is just for adults! Snowmobile school for children on a closed circuit where children can safely experience the genuine atmosphere of snowmobiling. After the drive, there will be warm juice available, and the children will get a certificate for attending the snowmobile school.

Recommended for 4- to 10-year-olds, for 8-year-olds and younger accompanied by an adult.

What an experience it would be for children to drive a real snowmobile! Children’s snowmobile track is a safe way for the children to experience the thrill of driving a snowmobile. Oh the excitement and joy of driving!

14.00    Liesjärvi lake safari with ATV’s
On the way we will breeze through the network of small village roads behind Himos hilltops that cover the Cape Jämsä. We will stop for a snack break by the campfire at Lake Yläinen-Liesjärvi where we will grill sausages and enjoy coffee and juice enjoying the silence surrounding this small clear watered lake in the middle of forest.

18.00   Gingerbread baking
The most delicious Christmas smells are created in the kitchen! Let’s bake, decorate – and have some gingerbread! Mulled wine and gingerbread available for adults.
Price 5 €/ per baker, max for 10 bakers

19.00    The most beautiful Christmas carols
Music is one of the ingredients that create the Christmas mood. Join in for a sing-along to sing some of the most beloved old and more recent Christmas songs at Himos Areena. Organised by the Jämsä parish.
Free admission, no booking required Mulled wine available to buy. After the event, you can give a contribution to the collection boxes for relief aid that the Finnish Evangelical Lutheran Mission provides.

10.00 – 12.00  Himos Christmas outside activities
Christmas games, horse- and pony-drawn sleigh and cart rides and pony riding. Test your own slapshot speed and your accuracy in a throwing competition! Some elves will join in the hustle and bustle. Possibility to make some thin pancakes at the outdoor fireplace. The event will take place in the yard of the Tupa Kitchen & Bar and Areena.

13.00 – 17.00   Christmas Sauna Yard
Calm down for the Christmas by bathing in the atmospheric Himos Sauna Yard. Sauna Yard has many saunas ready to use, and you can try them all! Sauna Yard has smoke sauna, lake sauna, wood burning sauna and barrel sauna. In addition two outdoor jacuzzis, hot tub and of course piers for dipping into Lake Patalahti are in use. You can bring your own sausages for roasting at the barbeque hut.
All saunas mixed gender. Bring your own towel and swim suit. The space in the changing rooms is limited, so the sitting rooms can be used as changing rooms. Christmas sauna in Himos is a popular event, so warm water might temporarily run out and the changing rooms can be crowded.

16.00-20.00   Christmas Sauna Yard
Welcome to enjoy the new Sauna Yard of Himos. Sauna yard is a combination of many saunas and you can try all of them! There is a smoke sauna, lakeside sauna, wood burning sauna and barrel sauna. In addition to the saunas, you can also spend time in jacuzzis, hot tub, camp fire sheds for your own snacks and of course, two holes in the ice for cooling down.

Guided fishing tour on the ice at Patalahti bay. Cast your line as the ice is crackling and snow cover is shimmering and enjoy a hot beverage. Tour guide services, equipment, bait and a hot beverage included.

With electrically assisted fatbikes, the snowy and hilly terrains of Himos can be conquered even if it’s been a while since the last bike ride! We drive on safari in the wonderful landscapes of Himos.

16.00 Arctic Floating
Have you ever wondered what it would feel like to float like an ice cube in a glass? The ice swimming adventure will give you the opportunity to try it out. A jump into freezing water is an incredible experience that gives you something to remember. Under the float suit, you can wear your own comfortable indoor clothing. The suit insulates water and cold. Suit for over 12 years old.

17.00 Himos snowmobile safari
Himos snowmobile safari introduces you to the world of snowmobiling without unnecessary breaks! On this outing, you will get to enjoy shimmering snow, winter scenery and speed, whether you are a beginner or an experienced driver.
