The winding road leading up to the cottage area on the western peak promises beautiful scenery – and not in vain!
At the Western peak you will be staying in comfortable villas while enjoying the views of the rugged forest nature that open through the windows.
The cottage village is surrounded by the Central Finnish pine forests that also surround the slopes of Himosvuori, but the villas are explicitly located abobe the slopes of Western Himos so that most of the cottages can be accessed by carrying the skis to the slope. In the summer the marked hiking trail ”Paljakka” can be accessed by smaller paths and the locals say it’s not uncommon to find the best lingonberry spots in this region.
