Himos offers educational travel and school visit in lower and upper comprehensive school, upper secondary school and vocational upper secondary school.

Lower and upper comprehensive school
The comprehensive school in Finland consists of primary school (alakoulu) and secondary school (yläkoulu).
Primary school includes grades one to six while the secondary school includes grades seven to nine
The school institues of Jämsä offer a unique chance to participate intensively in the lessons for full school weeks from Monday to Friday. Packages from 1 school week up to 3 weeks available.

For 6 – 12 year old children
Grades one to six
Duration 7 / 14 / 21 days with accommodation
Upper comprehensive / Secondary school
For 13 – 16 year old children
Grades seven to nine

The example packages include school days from Monday to Friday, wellness nature and exercise programmes 2 times a week and an excursion day on Saturday. Additional activities are available by request
Alternatively, you may combine wellness sport nordic skiing, downhill skiing, golfing, orienteering or floorball training programmes with instructors after the end of each school day.
We work with professional instructors and trainers and offer goal-orientated and academic level options.
Upper secondary school
Finnish secondary education is conducted in upper secondary (lukio) or vocational education institutes. Upper secondary schools are a path towards university. Jämsän lukio is a high standard upper secondary school with a broad language learning options. The upper secondary school operates in renovated and partly new premises. The school building is equipped with new furniture and the latest AV technology allows for a modern learning environment. In the gym and in two classes, an internal network has been built to carry out the electronic baccalaureate examination. The high school also has a 3D printer.
Upper secondary (lukio) programs

Gradia Jämsä vocational upper secondary school
Gradia Jämsä educates young people as well as adults. Vocational Qualification, Partial Qualifications, Short Courses – There are many opportunities in Jämsä. In collaboration with business and educational institutions, Gradia Jämsä is also a strong developer in its area. One of Gradia’s special advantages is their forestry eduction. Jämsä is located in the part of Finland which still is the most densely covered with forests in the country. The city is known for high-tec forestry industry from harvesting to paper mills.
