Wednesday 24.12. 10 – 12 o’clock
Calm down for the Christmas by bathing in the atmospheric Himos Sauna Yard. Try the whole generation of Finnish sauna’s; traditional smoke sauna, lakeside sauna, wood burning design- and barrel saunas.
Pamper yourself in two outdoor jacuzzis, hot tub and of course piers for dipping into Lake Patalahti are in use. You can bring your own sausages for roasting at the barbeque hut.
All saunas mixed gender. Bring your own towel and swimsuit, the bench covers are available at the saunas.
The Lakeside Sauna has separate changing rooms for women and men, and the smoke sauna has a small unisex changing room.
Christmas saunas are popular, so the changing rooms may be crowded at times.
If the weather drops below -15, only Lakeside and Smoke Sauna are at use for safety reasons.

Christmas in Himos leisure and ski-center is spent in holiday cottages with a private sauna. An inseparable part of Christmas eve tradition for Finns is the Christmas sauna. The tradition has stayed quite the same for hundreds of years and it echoes the memories and beliefs from the time when peasants and cottagers inhabited the land. The traditional smoke sauna of Himos is being heated and everyone is invited to enjoy the soothing heat in the mystic darkness of the black sauna.
The centerpiece of the celebration, a natural Christmas tree and a basic set of decorations is brought to the doorstep of your cottage upon your check in, so you can decorate it indoors.
