The neareast town Jämsä is located only 7 km away from Himos. Here’s our pick of favourite activities.

Pump Track

The longest pumptrack course of Finland is found in the centre of Jämsä, right accross the road from the Children’s Traffic Park. The track is open from spring to late autumn and in free use for all speed addicts and recreation lovers, regardless of their age. The track offers good ballancing excercises with bikes, BMX, scooters, scateboards, roller skaters etc. Helmets and knee pads are recommended.

Traffic park and playground for Children

In the Children’s Traffic Park, small children can practice traffic rules in safe environment, steering a pedal car. The park includes a modest cafeteria and restrooms. The nearby public playground is in free use.

Tickets: €3/hour, €1,50/30 minutes. Season pass €25.

Three-wheelers and cars with parent handles are for free. In evening, the park is available for small bikers – following the traffic rules and good manners, of course.

Domestic Animal Park Nurmolandia

On the Domestic Animal Park of Nurmolandia you can have an nice moment with horses, ponies, goats, sheeps, chickens, and other pets. The farm organizes horseback and pony riding, courses of taking care of animals, and versatile farm activites for children and adults.
